In the name of journalistic honesty..

I should admit I’ve never actually got round to reading Transmetropolitan in its entirety. I know little about it beyond the regard it is held in among comicbook literati. I’ve just picked up a copy of the first trade though and I’m loving it so far; the anti-hero reminds me of King Mob, Grant Morrison’s alter-ego in the Invisibles, crossed with a cyberpunk Hunter Thompson.
